Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a military brat, 21, part time worker, college student, living with my family. I've had a pretty normal childhood, but because I have parents in the military I moved around a lot. In 2012, my family had our biggest move yet. We went to Germany, our first station outside the US all together. As a 17 year old girl, it was rough. My family was struggling and I dealt with anxiety and depression.
But as I got more comfortable and a couple years went by, I came across this website by Leo Babauta over at The Zen Habits (hint: go check him out!). Long story short, I fell in love with this new idea of living called minimalism. It was everything I needed. Everything the simple, independent, free spirit inside myself craved for, not just a house or closet or purse, but for a lifestyle.
If you've wondered about downsizing, decluttering, living simply, or more intentionally, please stick around. This was of life is for anyone, whether you have a 9-5 job, no job, live in a studio apartment, a car, van, couch surf, or own a 4000 sq ft house. Kids or no kids, spouse or none, roommates or solo living, anyone who desires to live each day more fully and in the present, join me!
I am by no means a professional. My life is bland, mundane, and just like the majority of Americans who have no idea where they're going. But if you think that maybe, just maybe you could learn something, why not?
